Two quick basketball notes -
Coach Jimmy Patsos won his 100th game as a head coach for Loyola. This is a great accomplishment when you look at the program for the past 20 years. In 8 years, Patsos has taken a team that was 1-27 (that is not a typo) to a team that is picked to finish in the top 3 in the always competitve MAAC conference. Way to go Coach Patsos.
Today, women's hoops battled at Pitt and made a valient effort but came up short. Coach Logan has put together a team that can challenge the Marist Red Foxes (one d and one x) Should be a great season, lots of fresh talent and some leadership.
